Anti wrinkle injections are a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that work by blocking the electrical impulses that cause your muscles to contract. Injecting small amounts of botulinum toxin (also more commonly sold under the brand Botox) to the desired area reduces the ability of muscle movement and, over time, creates a softer appearance to the skin and reduction in appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This can result in a smoother and more youthful appearance. The procedure involves a series of small injections directly into the targeted muscles. The areas of the face that can be treated with anti wrinkle injections at MKR Skin Clinic are: - Forehead - Frown lines - Crows feet The results of anti wrinkle injections are non instant and take on average 2 weeks to show the full effect of the procedure. The results typically last from 3-4 months, however each client will have their own bespoke treatment plan agreed upon consultation / initial appointment. There are some risks and potential side effects to be aware of.. These can include bruising, swelling, redness, and temporary muscle weakness.
